  • Nonimmigrant intent: You must demonstrate that you have no intention of abandoning your foreign residence and returning to your home country after your studies in the United States.
  • Financial resources: You must show that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in the United States. This includes tuition fees, living expenses, and other related expenses.
  • English proficiency: You must demonstrate proficiency in the English language, either by taking an approved English language proficiency test, or by attending a U.S. school for a pre-approved English language program.
  • Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee: You must pay the SEVIS fee to cover the cost of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.
  • Non-criminal record: You must provide evidence that you have no criminal history, as required by the U.S. government.
  • Consular interview: You must attend a visa interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country.

It is important to note that these are general eligibility requirements, and additional requirements may apply depending on your individual circumstances and the specific requirements of the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. It is recommended that you consult with the embassy or consulate and your school’s international student office for guidance on the application process and eligibility requirements.
